Mrs. Teri Willett

Teri Kay Willett is a professional artist and art teacher who was trained at St. Mary College in Leavenworth, Kansas.  She received a BA in Art and Spanish with a minor in Secondary Education.  Mrs. Willett also received a Masters of Religious Education from Loyola University in New Orleans, LA. and a Masters of Art from Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg, MO.  She is very active in the state of Missouri with the Missouri Art Education Association in which she holds a position of District Representative (greater Kansas City) on the council.  "Teri Kay" is also a member of Images Art Gallery in Overland Park, Kansas,where she sits on the Board. Mrs. Willett is certified in the state of Missouri to teach Art and Spanish and is biligual in Spanish and English.  She has been a presenter of over 30 workshops on art techniques, history, and current praxis in art education.  She has had several art exhibits throughout the region.

"I have a firm belief that everyone is an artist," says Willett, "Not necessarily a professional artist but an artist."

Teri Willett lives in Independence, Missouri, with her mother-in-law, youngest son Tony, and two dogs. She has two other children, Sarah Otto and Jesse Willett, who graduated from St. Mary's.  Her husband is deceased. Dalton and Ally Otto are her grandchildren.   She has taught (with fond memories) at St. Mary's High School for 22 1/2 years.  Prior to that she was at Holy Family Grade School and Nativity.
